PFLAG (Parents and Families of Lesbians and Gays) was founded in 1972 with the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son. Since that inception, PFLAG has grown to become the nation's largest family and ally organization of the LGBTQ community. PFLAG, and it's many local chapters, are committed to advancing equality and full societal affirmation of LGBTQ people through support, education and advocacy.
