HELP PRESERVE FRESNO'S LGBTQ+ HISTORY!

Qistory is a joint project between Community Link and Fresno State. The goal of Qistory is to document and preserve the history of LGBTQ+ Communities in Fresno and the Central Valley. We are a collection of community members and Fresno State's students, faculty, and staff.
All are welcome to participate!

LGBTQ+ ORAL HISTORY TRAINING

Qistory is hosting The Lavender Effect-an Los Angeles Based LGBTQ+ Oral and Public History organization to train a select group of participants in oral history interviewing and collecting.

Those who receive the training will be required to record an oral history of a selected LGBTQ+ Elder in Fresno.

These oral histories will become publicly available in the future through the Qistory Digital Archive. The work done here will help preserve the critical voices of the LGBTQ+ community for future generations.

The workshop is open to all community members, and Fresno State's students, faculty, and staff.

The oral history training will be held April 27th, 10am-4pm at the Henry Madden Library, Fresno State.

Space is limited for the training so please contact soon!
