A Butterfly to Remember - Remembering LGBT+ Lives

“Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear.”

This year, MY LGBT PLUS is participating in an event called “A Butterfly to Remember,” hosted by AseraCare Hospice of Fresno, to remember those individuals.

“A Butterfly to Remember,” now in its tenth year, is a celebration of life event that will feature inspirational speakers, music and a collective live butterfly release. This year, over 1,000 butterflies will be released into the sky as a symbol of life, hope and love.

This years celebration will take place on:

Wednesday, May 18
Wolf Lakes Park
11646 E. Ashlan Ave
Sanger, CA 93657

Photography and boat rides will begin at 4-5:30 PM and the program starts at 5:30PM. Hor d’oeuvres will follow the program.

We are proud to sponsor this event for us to stop and take a moment to remember. As advocates, when we have a loss in the family it's fuels us to ensure that their life never gets forgotten. We remember them every day. The reason why we give our time to fight for equality is because they're with us.

If you would like to join our group at the event, please email Justin Kamimoto at justin@mylgbtplus.org. We will ensure a butterfly is available for you to release.

We invite you to attend with us to celebrate the lives we will always remember.
