HandsOn Central California has opened its nomination for the 49th annual Volunteer of the Year awards

This event honors individuals and groups who have made a difference by generously giving their time and energy to address challenges in 5 counties: Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings and Tulare.

Top Award Winners will receive an award signifying their stellar service. Their service will be highlighted in a film projected at the event which will be presented at the luncheon. This year’s winners will be invited to an evening reception in their honor where family and friends will be able to celebrate with them.

There are 11 categories to choose from:

Corporate/Business Volunteer or Group
Healthcare Volunteer
Service Club/Organization
Parent Volunteer
School Volunteer
Love of Animals
RSVP Volunteer
Youth Volunteer
Adult Volunteer
Lifetime Achievement
College Student Volunteer

All winners and nominees will receive carnations at the event; be listed in the event program, and be featured in the event PowerPoint. HandsOn will inform the volunteers of their nomination and from whom it came.

Qualifying nominees who volunteered more than 100 hours in 2016 will receive the President's Volunteer Service Award, the nation’s premier volunteer accolade.

Presentation of these awards and recognition of all nominees will be held at a luncheon, April 26th, 2017 at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Clovis CA.
