We’re excited to announce that MY LGBT PLUS is joining the COMMON SPACE family!
MY LGBT PLUS was launched five years ago to create visibility of our LGBT+ community. The goal was to support one another in a unique way that was different... that was fun. Since that day five years ago, MY LGBT PLUS has provided crisis support to finding housing for LGBT+ individuals, answered suicide calls, hosted events, developed visibility campaigns and most importantly, brought people together. But now, it’s time for more. It’s time for physical space.
COMMON SPACE is a new idea opening up in Downtown Fresno with the goal in the next two years to be a 7,000 square foot nonprofit hub. We are excited to be one of the first two programs joining their mission to create and collaborate new ideas for our Central Valley region.
What does this mean for you? To start: a creative space that is open to ALL people. Our mission is to utilize our new home to create more. More events, more support groups, more ways to make MY LGBT PLUS the best resource ever.
We will continue to operate as a standalone program, so you don’t have to change a thing about the way you are currently interacting with MY LGBT PLUS.
Join us on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at COMMON SPACE for the grand opening block party to the beginning of a great future. Click here for the event details.
